Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for RevUme's paid digital services and subscription plans.
It applies to purchases made electronically on the RevUme platform, such as business subscription plans. It does not limit any mandatory rights you hold under the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law No. 181 of 2018 and its Executive Regulations; where this policy and a mandatory legal provision differ, the law prevails.
Cancelling a Subscription
RevUme subscriptions do not renew automatically. A paid plan runs until the end of the period you purchased and then expires on its own unless you choose to purchase again, so there is no recurring charge that needs to be stopped.
You may request cancellation of your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us. A cancellation request confirms that your access will end at the end of the current paid term; it does not, by itself, entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid for periods you have used.
When a Refund Applies
We review refund requests case by case. Typical situations where a refund is granted include:
- Duplicate payment — you were charged more than once for the same purchase.
- Incorrect charge — an amount different from the advertised price was collected because of an error on our side.
- Service not activated — payment was collected but the subscription or service was never made available to you.
- Material technical failure — a fault on our side prevents delivery of the purchased service and we are unable to remedy it within a reasonable time.
- Refunds required by law — any case where applicable Egyptian consumer-protection law grants you a refund right.
Services Already Provided
Because subscriptions are digital services delivered electronically, eligibility for withdrawal or refund can depend on how much of the service has already been provided or used, and on the withdrawal rights that apply to contracts concluded at a distance. If you have fully benefited from the service before the end of the legally prescribed withdrawal period, the statutory right of rescission may no longer apply. Refunds for partly used periods are assessed according to the circumstances, the nature of the service, and applicable law.
Defective or Deficient Service
If the paid service suffers from a defect or deficiency, contact us as soon as you notice the problem. We will handle your request in accordance with applicable law — including, according to the nature of the service, remedying the problem or reimbursing the amounts you are entitled to.
How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
Submit your request through the Contact Us page on the RevUme website or application. So we can locate the transaction quickly, please include:
- the email address of your RevUme account;
- the transaction or payment reference;
- the plan name;
- the payment date;
- the reason for your request.
Never share your card number, card security code (CVV), passwords, or one-time codes with anyone — we will never ask for them.
How Refunds Are Paid
Approved refunds are returned through the original payment method used for the purchase whenever that is required or practicable. We cannot pay refunds to a different card or account except where the law or the payment provider's rules require an alternative.
Processing Time
We aim to review refund requests promptly and will keep you informed of the outcome. Once a refund is approved and initiated on our side, the time for the money to reach you depends on the bank and the payment provider and is outside RevUme's control. Nothing in this section shortens any legally mandated deadline.
Amounts and Charges
The refunded amount and any applicable charges are determined by the specific transaction, applicable law, and the payment provider's rules. Where the law requires a full refund, the law prevails.
